This early Heuer Carrera 3647 features a rare “silver script” dial that was produced for only a short amount of time by Singer (the dial manufacturer for other iconic chronographs of the era by Rolex, Omega, and Tudor, among others). Interestingly, this same silver script application can be seen on my Rolex Daytona reference 6239, in which Singer used silver for the “Rolex Daytona” script and outer minute track.
These watches are only observed in a tight serial range and represent some of the most compelling oddities from the early days of the reference. This example is fresh-to-market (as can be observed by the detritis around the bezel and inner lugs), with a perfectly aged dial, unpolished case, and movement that shows no signs of ever having been serviced. Just the way you like to find them!
